Remediation and Abatement Information

Mould Remediation

Mould Remediation is a serious situation that requires proper safety precautions to ensure the safety of the occupants as well as workers.

Due to the health implications, CAN-ARA believes that remediation of mould should indeed be regulated and standards should be in place.

Asbestos Abatement

Asbestos is a known hazardous building material that is known to cause serious health affects on those exposed to it.

While this is provincially regulated, there are additional safety recommendations that CAN-ARA believes that should be implemented.

Lead Abatement

Lead is an extremely toxic material that can cause severe neurological disorders and cancer.

Lead has been commonly used in paints and can still be found in older homes and commercial spaces
